Oil for Essential Health

The oils coming from certain plants and fish are very beneficial to health. In fact they help to combat the problems and diseases associated with high fat diets in the medical model today, like heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity. These oils are high in Essential Fatty Acids (Vitamin F). These fatty acids are also called Omega 3 (Linolenic Acid) and Omega 6 (Linoleic Acid and Gamma Linoleic Acid). There are several sources of these fatty acids which are at the same time low in saturated fat, and coming from plants sources, contain no cholesterol.

When using beneficial oils, do not heat them. This causes rapid deterioration of the essential fatty acid. When using any oils use the least processed types, unrefined and expeller pressed. Other oils can contain trans fatty acids which are harmful to health. Margarine, especially, contains these harmful fatty acids, and should be avoided.
