Maitake

In the U.S. this superfood mushroom is a newcomer, but it has been used for centuries in Northern Japan. It contains vitamin C, B2, D, Niacin, Magnesium, Potassium, and calcium. It is known to regulate blood pressure, keep blood sugar balanced, and lower cholesterol. Of all the superfood mushrooms, Maitake contains more of the polysaccaride, called Beta 1.6 Glucan, known to be the cause of some of its therapeutic effects. |
